Living With Fear (Of Losing You)

Love Poem

Every day I tell myself
Life is what I make it.
I say, “There must be better”.

This is not a dress rehearsal,
You only get one life in this readiness,
Finding the end is just preparation.

To the world you are one person,
But to our maker, you are the world.
You are the one constant in his existence.

Tell me what it is you are searching,
Try being open without false thoughts,
How nice that wrinkles don’t hurt.

Plenty has been given to be thankful.
Use time wisely, walking earth enriches.
Patterns will form while still in thought.

You must bear the squall to witness rainbows,
Answers to life’s riddles are not found at its end,
The Oasis fades in the hope of that pot of gold.

Conquering that oasis my mind has become
Made a completely new and different person of me.
This is when I understood the significance and power of letting go.

Being brutally honest, in what you need,
Finding needed clarity in the power above
With those who are not afraid to listen with their hearts.

Remembering, the only true gift is a portion of you,
When sitting here in front of you …. There is only one.
By mind and heart can feeling his gift bring of the things he says.
