Searching for the Perfect Sunset

You
There
As I see you from this close I can imagine worser things still within my mind
But you may like that
It’s unfair that one should be left so broken and away
As if gazing out windows and hearing of songs could bring swifter justice
To the cruel fates distance so oft provides
Condemning us to these mental prisons
For different rates of internment
Amongst the denizens of thieves
Who serve alongside our innocence
Fighting for scraps of resources
Only to cower in dark corners and pray for light
