That Moment

Poem

That moment when it was you and I
laughing in silence, only with eyes,
a moment you were close, but far away.
That moment when the sun was rising,
although it was setting behind
the blue horizon, you were in my mind.

That moment when the autumn blows,
but it is still the hottest summer,
you are so aloof, yet so close.

That moment when you whispered
one, two or an ocean of words,
carried away by the fastest birds.

The moment when the beach
was empty, bare, alone, cold
the day I wasn’t young, but old…

It was just a moment, an illusion.

Just a dream, longing or delusion?
Or I am just losing my mind?
