Unknown Reflection

self-reflective poem

Poem

I see a face so like mine
Staring at my every move
Asking me why it is
That I do the things I do

In those sullen stares I hear
Disappointment for all
All the choices that were
Too hard for me to make

You told me to listen
Obedience became a trap
Now I can’t find that person
The one who’s staring at me
