It was vain
The attempt of the waves,
repeatedly crashing against,
the climb that it starts to take.

It was vain.
They were bent on staying permanently. They thought they would not leave this time again.

It was vain,
trying to just take in the oxygen and not let it out.

It was vain,
wanting the sun to stay with you, all night long.

It was vain,
trying to deny that my love for you was already gone.
