Poem
No one knows what comes next.
We can imagine, speculate, predict…
But we don’t really KNOW.
And so,
What matters? What is infinite?
Love. Connection. Hope.
The giving, the receiving, the feeling…
It is all we can cling to and KNOW.
And so,
We risk heartbreak and pain.
Fear, rejection, loss.
Hurt, damaged, repressed,
We walk on to the truth we KNOW-
The end will come, will come,
And so,
No one knows what comes next.
We form a theory, and we set our course.
We live, love, laugh, learn-
Understand we’ll never KNOW.
But it doesn’t matter. The road goes on.
We leave breadcrumbs for those who follow,
And so…
