The Golden Trapeze

Poem

Movement humming
Cicadas in the trees
Peace swinging in the willows
Velvet rays beam

A golden trapeze
Singing across meadows
Reflections bending
Illusory shadows

Hoping for more to see
Waiting for novelty
Expecting something more
A transformation maybe
Just around the corner

Watching the trapeze
Its momentum and rhythm
Could you catch it
Light bends and shape
Could you escape
Without comfort and safety
The gold blanketing you
Keeping you near ground

Up high in the air
Swinging through the beams
Gazing down below
A slow-motion waterfall
Warm and bright
Cascading from your dreams
