Shine

poem about not giving up

Poem

Just know that you are smart
Keep your treasure glowing
Dial up your suntan
Go see what the world is doing
There’s a universe inside your skull
Let its best flow out
Dance in your slow Eeyore manner
Flutter like spring confetti
Find the fire between your melting moods and
Get off of that brown boring soggy couch
Of give ups and soiled dreams
Don’t hold onto the great
When it doesn’t make you feel so
Remember the grass is wet
And your socks are warm
Dare to see the sunny rainbows
Nestled in the dewdrops
Left from the music’s storm
