Wandering

wandering

Walking down a sparse street
Heavy hands
Slow feet
Heart strings tight like rubber bands
Blending in like an unknown brand

A street lamp shines with faulty light
Giving false hope
A cruel joke
Lighting my face in an alloyed embrace
I continue walking my wandering pace

So simple and perfect, it really captures that feeling well. “Heavy hands…slow feet” nailed it in description and pacing. Keep writing!
