Surreal Poetry

Undeniable is a word
That I can leave out of my vocabulary when
I hang with you
There’s…there’s just too much of
A take away in your midst
People reflect upon your words much later
Realize an insult was paid and
Resolve to demand a refund when
Next you all meet
any bloody noses accrued
Interim sweet kisses to flustered damsels
Quiet the lion’s roar
I can only watch in a jealous sort of way
Around a fire I started in
The woods of my own planting
Playing that macho game while away
At camp
You find something else to do to avoid
My eyes as I take down my own tent
Your machismo wasted on last night’s
Tears to nowhere
After her last cries subsided

Jazz-soaked spirit running circles around despair...or something like that. Really. Lover of words, lover of being in worlds free...just...free. New Yorker, artist, Virgo besieged by airhead tendencies akin to Libra moves. Bronx is home base. Began an obsession with writing at seven and twenty-odd years hence, still at it. Enjoy/love/hate/be bored/appreciate to your heart's content. Or something like that. http://www.lbisonartist.com
