Save Me

poem about lonely love

Poems

Save me from the past,
lay down, next to me and
whisper softly until my end.

Save me from my sorrows,
drink my poison and melt
this winter, snow and years.

Save my innocence alive,
give me flame when all
curtains are nothing but a lie.

Save me from the shadows,
of memories untold, unsaid,
memories of lonely days.

Save me from this endless night
and starless freedom I’m running
through and to a hectic fight.

Tonight I wait… for you… to come
and save my restless rest.
Stay, never leave my bed alone.
