Poem

While walking by the river,
on a path among trees,
I saw a sight
never to forget:
a girl and a bear
staring at me
with eyes driving through me
and beyond.

They were standing next to each other
waiting for my next move
or so I figure,
thinking back to the leaves
and the peaceful sun above us;
calming the water
and cleaning the air.

The bear snorted and turned right
walking to the north,
the girl was looking at me for a while longer
and then followed her friend
to the land of disappear.
