In The Land of Promise

In the Land of Promise.

This life of mine runs amuck,
With water filled lungs
And a wavering heart.
Trouble was about me.
The gossip was,
let him sink.

Oh, my dear,
Precious you are,
In this suffering.
I want to live in you
And die for you.

For you, I treasure
And pledge my love
Under your peace and comfort
O’ Love,… I lavish in you

We have sailed great storms
Tides roared jaggedly high
We battled and comforted those waves
Let us crack though our horizons
Let the rising suns guide us to the sunsets

Be thankful, I am.
After enduring these hardships.
Be thankful, we will be.
With storms bringing ultimate victory
In the promise of our togetherness.
