Breakup Poem

I finally have to go
Will I write you?
Possibility will be on your side
As soon as I make room with parting
It’ll feel that uncomfortable sensation
Of my warmth, still clinging until you
Overcome and make that emptiness your own
On my lap I’ll balance my paper pour ink
Onto words and break the mold;
Its shadow cast will last for as long as
You can bear to stand it
Tears erased my end by the third stop
That space I left adjusted to another’s warmth
Fits just fine

Jazz-soaked spirit running circles around despair...or something like that. Really. Lover of words, lover of being in worlds free...just...free. New Yorker, artist, Virgo besieged by airhead tendencies akin to Libra moves. Bronx is home base. Began an obsession with writing at seven and twenty-odd years hence, still at it. Enjoy/love/hate/be bored/appreciate to your heart's content. Or something like that. http://www.lbisonartist.com
