I Will Always Have Your Back

Mirror

Looking in the mirror, truly you do find
a person looking out just for kicks
turn away
folds of mores fit so loosely
’round premade stutter-steps to
that edge sometimes…sometimes
we all talk of jumping from

Warm blossoms on shoulder before
the plunge
my hand
an anchor holding you fast
in the sea of quicksand
that mirror image is clouded by tears
on the other side really
it’s never that bad when
the contrast glares that way
it means it isn’t you
it means someone is for you
“never alone” is my gift-epitaph
share it above and below ground
Love
steady
hold
my hand
To yours

Jazz-soaked spirit running circles around despair...or something like that. Really. Lover of words, lover of being in worlds free...just...free. New Yorker, artist, Virgo besieged by airhead tendencies akin to Libra moves. Bronx is home base. Began an obsession with writing at seven and twenty-odd years hence, still at it. Enjoy/love/hate/be bored/appreciate to your heart's content. Or something like that. http://www.lbisonartist.com
