Descending Darkness

Poem

Sometimes darkness surrounds
bones and flesh…all is dead
among the corpses of the past
winds of despair are blowing fast

Darkness descends
spirits evil transcend
and the sun is sleeping
poisoned, bloody, kneeling.

Oh, the winter never ends!
All the Gods of evil feast
devouring purity and snow.
Munching on platters of gold.

In a world where gold is precious
And Love is nothing but a poet’s dream!
Lies will live and leave us breathless
For the hearts are dead to scream….
