What If

Poem

What if the grass stopped watching,
What if the snow stopped icing,
What if the robins stopped bleeding?
Would you look at me?
Would you actually see?

I wonder sometimes
If my imaginary world is real
At some point
During the turbulence of time
Did I imagine you as somebody else
And then you were there as you,

Where did you jump from?

Sometimes I wonder
Do I believe in this reality
Just because the eyes are telling me
What is in front of me
While the pain prepares a blindfold
To stop them
And the fear joins the queue

What is actually stopping me
To be
To breath
To think
To smile?

What is stopping me to smile?
What is stopping me to smile?
