Where Did The Moon Go?

nature poem

Poem

I woke up last night

and looked at the sky
silence surrounded me
water mixed with rainbows
and I was waiting
for the moon

where did the moon go?

another evening went by
more stories were told
the sea was preparing
its surface for the
light that never showed
itself

where did the moon go
where is it hiding
what is going on
how can this be

more hours brought
another night
the lake was afraid
for its swans
that couldnt find
a place to dance
they all looked up
and wondered
where did the moon go

at the end of the fourth day
a smile welcomed life
two eyes enlightened the
blue blanket full of stars
it was the moon
finally
she had a new crater
fresh from the hairdresser
she shone
so everybody knew
where did the moon go
