My Angel

poem about letting go

Poem

I must remove your wings
so you can fly
burn your bridges down
your sand castles washed away
cry, my darling
and know
suffering
know it deeply
fall from Grace
and then look up
and find God
You will see your own eyes,
and be born again
I will not forsake you
You said, set my spirit free
Let me forget, that I may remember
so I pushed you out of the nest
and now you curse me
My Angel
