The Things We Blame
It was the cold
the freezing cold
my ears were shut
I have to
tell you
something
Then it was the sun
the freaking sun
I couldn’t see
I have to
show you
something
Then it was me
without my hands
or legs
I have to
give you
something
And at the end
it was just me
(Nobody else)

Love the simplicity and how you creatively used all the senses in the theme of trying to give but failing to do so at all these different levels. A lot of emotion in this one.
Thank you Anna. I am glad you like it. My favorites are abstract and minimalist poems so that is why I tend to write in that way. 🙂
